I’m sure you’ve heard the name “Jack in the box” somewhere before. Jack in the box is an American fast-food restaurant.

However in this article, we’re not going to talk about Jack in the box(although I love their Cheeseburger). Instead, we’re going to discuss Jacks in the TV box.

Now, I love to watch tv series like 24, lost, supernatural, smallville, prison break and more.

I found out that the name Jack seems to be pretty popular in the tv series. Besides, characters using the name Jack is usually the main character.

For example, we’ve Jack Bauer(played by Kiefer Sutherland) in 24.

Jack Bauer is a supercop constantly fighting terrorist in the states and saving our world. Jack Bauer is so powerful that some even compare him with Chuck Norris! Although I enjoy watching 24 but I’ve got to admit that actually I like Tony Almeida(played by Carlos Bernard) more. Too bad his character was killed by “Robocop” Peter Weller in Season Five.

The next Jack we’re going to talk about is Jack Shephard(played by Matthew Fox) in LOST. Among those tv series, I love LOST the most. It is absolutely my favorite tv show!

In LOST, Jack Shephard is a doctor survived the plane crash and later on considered to be the leader of the group. However, Jack’s character was originally planned to die in the pilot, and was hoped to be played by Michael Keaton also. Instead of Jack being the leader, Kate(Yunjin Kim auditioned for Kate too) was the original one who is going to lead the group.

The last Jack that we’re going to talk about is Captain Jack Harkness(played by John Barrowman) in Torchwood. Wait a minute, is this Tom Cruise? Hell no, but I think he looks like Tom Cruise in the show.

Actually I just started to watch Torchwood and I found out that this show is quite interesting. It is like the x-files(I’m a big fan of X-files).

According to Wiki; Jack is bisexual, an orientation which the Doctor points out is more common in the 51st century, when mankind will deal with multiple alien species and sexuality becomes more flexible. Besides, it seems that Captain Jack has a problem of dying(from what I learn in the first episode). Concerning the history of Captain Jack, it’s still a mystery.

Talking about Captain Jack, I suddenly remember there is another Captain Jack……

Although the picture is a little bit dark but I’m sure you know who he is! He is our Captain Jack Sparrow(played by Johnny Depp) in the Pirates of the Caribbean.

However, since this article is only focusing characters on tv series. Sorry Captain Jack…….
