As Spider-man 3 will be swing back to us this summer, fans might wonder whether the series will be continue or not. According to Guardian Unlimited, Spider-man director Sam Raimi has considered the possibility of Spider-man 4.

The main members of the cast - Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst included - are tied to a three-movie deal, suggesting the next episode could be the final Spider-Man film in the current mould.

However, Raimi seems reluctant to let the franchise go. He told Premiere magazine: “I love Spider-Man and I love working with Kirsten, Tobey and James [Franco]. I’m really still fascinated with the character.”

But Raimi added he would be unlikely to make a fourth film if Maguire decided to duck out after three films. Maguire has so far been reticent about returning for another outing. Raimi said: “I’d rather not… I couldn’t imagine it.”

It seems whether there will be a Spider-man 4 is up to Tobey now.
