No doubt the original Butterfly Effect is one of the best cult movie of all times. Filled with elements of time travel, Parallel universe, suspense and mystery.

I was pretty amazed when I saw the sequel in HMV. I mean, there is actually no advertisement on the sequel and I don’t even know whether they’ve shown it in theatres or not.

Anyway for the sake of the oringal, I’ve decided to give it a try. But it turns out that this one is only filled with disappointment.

The story is weak. It follows the same plot as the original that Nick was trying to travel back in time and alter the future to save the one he loves. However, not only it failed but it also shows to the audience that the script is bad.

The original was filled with details. When the main character goes back in time, the story tells you about what happens to his friends as well as his own fate. But in the sequel, you barely knows what happens to Nick’s friends and what consequences that Nick has brought to them. It seems to me that its just a trim down version of the original but with inadequate and solid content.

Ending sucks, no surprises!

The only and sole reason to see is for the sake of Erica Durance! She was absolutely gorgeous, just like her performance in Smallville as Lois Lane. The breath taking actress also reminds me of Angelina Jolie. Looking forward to see her in other movies!
